Rare Moth sighting

I was at a car show and saw this classic truck. It was a busy show so it was hard to get shoots from a longer distance as people would walk in front of you. This lead me to use a wide angle lens so I could stand closer to the car. When I looked in my view finder I saw a completely different truck then I could see with just my eye. This shoot reminded me of the rare butterfly or moth collections I have seen in a nature exhibit. I like the shot because I am sure that the owner who has spent countless hours working on his vehicle has still never quite thought of his truck as looking like this. Every time I pick up a camera there is always some part of my brain that is thinking about how to shoot the person/object in away that that hasn't been done before. Often how that works is much more situational like at a wedding where no one wants me to come anywhere near them with a wide angle lens. Instead the groom might be sure that he is not photogenic. I am convinced that there is a best angle and look for everyone and there is a way to shoot any face to show it at its best. I study those that I shoot because the picture that might get them on a magazine cover is not always that one that can best capture them. I grew up bouncing around South America and would hear of the indigenous people that thought a camera could capture there soul. I try for that. I love it when I hear someone looking at my work say "oh that is so......."
This was shoot with a Nikon D300 and a Sigma 10-20mm lens.
